Things you might want to know before the health screening
- What do I need to prepare before the health screening?
You are required to fast for 8 – 10 hours prior to the health screening. Only drinking of plain water is allowed. This is to ensure better accuracy for glucose and cholesterol tests.
- How long will the health screening take?
The screening will take about 20mins subject to waiting time.
- How much blood will be drawn for the health screening?
Only 1 syringe of blood will be drawn. Even if you opt for a more comprehensive test, the same blood sample will be sufficient.
- (For female participant) Can I still go for the health screening if I’m having my period?
Yes. However if urine sample is required, we will arrange to have it collected 10 days after the health screening.
- Should I take my medication before the health screening?
If you are on high blood pressure medications, you may take it before the screening. If you are on diabetic medications, please do not take it before the screening. For any other prescribed medications, please take it as directed by your doctor.
- When will I get my health screening results?
You will get your results within 14 days after the health screening. We will deliver by hand to you in your office (if you are not around that day, we will seal it in an envelope and hand it to your HR department).
- Will my health screening results be shown to my company?
No. Your result is strictly private and confidential. Our healthcare personnel will be going through your result with you on a one to one basis.
- How reliable is the health screening result?
All laboratories in Singapore have to adhere to very stringent guidelines by MOH. Our laboratory partner has more than 30 years of experiences. All the phlebotomists are trained and licensed.
